I have been in, or around, the martial arts most of my life. My involvement has been as a promoter, fighter, trainer, judge, and referee. I have worked with, or trained, some of the best of the best. As a major player in the creation of kickboxing in the state of Florida, I have witnessed many events and performed many seminars. I am still active as a referee and doing seminars.

Three years ago I had the pleasure of meeting Amir Ardebily. I learned from the start that he was a very ambitious, hard driving individual. He has his eye on the prize and is not going to let anything stop him from getting there. Soon after meeting Amir, he asked me to be part of, The Battle of Tampa Bay II. He also asked me to do a seminar at his school. I agreed. Since that initial meeting, I have learned that Amir is not only an excellent promoter. He is also an excellent instructor. He has a heart of gold and is respected by many. He is very active in the community and really knows the meaning of giving back. His promotions are equal to none. I have been a judge and tested his students for their belt ranks. Again, equal to none. He puts true meaning to the word ‘‘Professional ”.

I highly recommend my friend Amir to anyone seeking a true professional, that will always have your best interest in mind.

Three plus years so far and a lifetime to go. Amir Academy of Martial Arts has become a permanent part of my life. Not only does the school offer a good workout – which gives me strength, gobs more energy and a mental uplift – but it also provides intellectual stimulation and interest. Learning martial arts from Amir Ardebily is an incredible and arousing challenge. Instead of feeling overwhelmed with how much there is to learn, I relish the new abilities I gain each small, or large, step of the way – from a new takedown maneuver or punch combination to a heightened sense of my own physical self that I didn’t feel before. Amir himself is key to that. He is the consummate artist, professional and teacher. Amir remarkably knows the strengths and weaknesses of all his students and follows their progress carefully. I can attest based on his training of me that Amir knows both patience and the need for an occasional push. I’m addicted and feeling wonderful about it.

Dear Amir,

Kindly accept this overdue conveyance of gratitude and respect.

The months my son, Myles, and myself have been students has been way beyond
what I expected.

Personally, it has extended my desire of fitness, both mental and physical
and brought it to a new, pleasing level.

Regarding 14 year old, Myles, as the proud parent before of a good kid, I
now possess a mature young man displaying a focus not before seen.
Additionally, his manners, respect of the martial arts and your work ethic
are, I know, molding a man well-equipped for life's upcoming challenges.

I am, and will remain forever grateful.

Very truly,

I joined Amir’s Academy in 1996 with a black belt from another discipline. I had stopped training because of injuries, and was looking for a less kada-oriented school of a more traditional nature.

Amir’s Academy provided an environment in which I could improve my skills and flexibility, while accommodating the limitations necessitated by previous injuries.

It has been a wonderful experience. The classes have been challenging as well as enjoyable, and the environment has been welcoming and socially rewarding.

I would recommend Amir and his Academy to anyone looking for a rigorous training environment which accommodates all levels of physical capabilities.

In order for you to judge my comments you should know by way of background that I was a rifle platoon leader with the 1st Cavalry Division in the Republic of Vietnam. I later served for 30 years as a special agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and was very active with FBI S.W.A.T teams throughout my career.

I have known and trained with Amir for over 10 years. He is without a doubt a true master of the Martial Arts with few equals. Beyond his skills as a martial artist, he is one of the finest individuals that I have met in my life. To me, his greatests assets are the depth of his character, his high moral values and his humility. He has a tremendous work ethic that he passes on to his students. The values and morals that he imparts to his students in training apply directly to their everyday lives. Both of my children have trained with Amir and learned the meaning of hard work, perseverance, and responsibilty that has carried them well in their adult lives.
