Amir Ardebily started training in the martial arts at age 6. He opened his first martial arts school at age 16. After serving in the military’s Special Forces unit, Amir opened the current Amir Academy of Martial Arts in 1985. His training techniques reflect Bruce Lee’s philosophy of everyone is an individual and each has their own abilities and system that works for them. Conditioning and flexibility are emphasized. His classes are designed in a fashion that will give both combative and non-combative training.

Amir has actively trained in the martial arts for over 38 years. Some of Amir’s Martial Arts credentials include:

  • "Vayma-Batto”7th Degree
  • “Iaido” 5th Degree Black Belt

  • “Ken Doe” 5th Degree Black Belt
  • Certified Jiu Jitsu Instructor
 
Awards Received from the “World Head Of Family Sokeship Council” include inductions to the martial Arts Hall of Fame in the following categories:
  • 1997- Master Instructor of the year
  • 1998- Best Martial Arts School in the nation
  • 1999- Silver Life Achievement Award for training more than 30 years in martial Arts
  • 2000- “ Master of the Millennium”

In addition, Amir has competed in the Extreme Combat competition on September 10th 2000, in Atlanta, Georgia. He defeated his opponent by K.O. in the 2nd round.
