Amir Academy of Martial Arts was established in 1985
by Amir Ardebily. The Academy has a current enrollment
of nearly 500 students, including:
- St.
Petersburg, Florida, Police Officers
-
Pinellas
County Sheriff Deputies
- Federal
Bureau of Investigation Agents
- Private
security
-
Body guard personnel
In addition
to providing training for professional law enforcement clients, AAMA
also provides training for:
- Male
& female adults (combined classes, and women's only classes also)
-
Children
-
People with disabilities
- People
with any ailment including such as asthma
-
Professional
fighters and boxers.
Kickboxing
for women is a very popular class as is the practical Tai-Chi classes.
Virtually any and all styles and concepts of the martial arts are
incorporated in
the teachings at AAMA with emphasis on individuality and ability. If
the client is looking to just be in shape, then joining a gym or "at
work" facility is probably all one needs. If the client is looking
to go beyond the average "in shape" condition, in which he/she
demands more from there personal trainer than the status quo and fashion
show, then Amir Academy of Martial Arts is
for them.
All types
of weapons training and survival in the modern problematic
society of today is taught not only in the adult classes, but the
children classes as well.
The children's
classes are structured in a way to help them get the most of their
school days experience as well as management of behavioral disorders
including Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) and Anger Management.
